I am currently reading “The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire” Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence by Deepack Chopra.
This book was given to me by a good friend and Guru like figure. I often experience coincidences and want to learn as much as I can to understand why this is happening to me so often. It’s like someone is trying to communicate with me but I can’t decode the message. According to Deepak Chopra, the more I become aware of this, the more it will happen. There is a part of us that is synchronizing with everything that is happening in the universe. If we get in touch with that part of our self, we can create connections with people or situations that lead us to opportunities that help manifest our desires.
Just as I finished my writing that last line my cell phone rang. It was my wive checking in as she usually does in the afternoon . At the end of our brief conversation she noticed the clock read 12:34. Sometimes I think she thinks I’m crazy but this time she seemed to be surprised. Before I got back to writing I decided to check my email. I just received an email from a client in Austin Texas. He was looking for a game developer to work with. I reached out to a good friend working with game developers and he recommended someone that’s supposed to be one of the hottest in the industry and he happens to be in Austin Texas. This is what I’m talking about!
I intended on starting the blog with a recent experience involving a used CD I purchased I few years ago. It was on sale at one of my favorite stores called Earth Spirit New Age Center. I probably purchased the CD because I thought it had some cool Indian music and it was probably so cheap it was worth the risk. For some reason I never played it and it ended up in the basement. There it sat collecting dust with a bunch of other CD’s that seemed to be waiting on death row. My wife recently decided to clear out some of the basement clutter and stated lining things up on the back porch ready for the garbage cans. It was then that I noticed the CD entitled, “Krishna DAS Greatest Hits of the KALI YUGA” The word Yuga got my attention because I’ve been recently learning about the Yugas. I’ll write more about Yugas in a future post. I rescued the CD and decide to play it. It immediately captured my attention. The more I listened to it, the more I desired to hear it. I’s a collection of chants. I don’t understand a word but it seems to speak to my soul. Even my daughters nine and eleven who usually complain about my musical selections enjoy it and sing along. A few days later I noticed the CD has a DVD. One night I found myself restless. I woke up at 2:00am and decided to watch the DVD. It was about Kishna Das and his spiritual journey in India. He was hanging out with Ram Das and eventually met and became a devotees of Mahara-ji.
Krishna Das was emotional when he talked about how Sri Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharaj-ji, was about to answer his question on how to meditate like Christ. The Mahara-ji started to answer the question when he suddenly became perfectly still for a few minuets. The a tear rolled down his cheek. He shook himself, opened his eyes and said, “I lost himself in love”. That’s how deep he was. He was truly one with all there is. Early the next morning as I reflected on that I glanced into the kitchen sink and noticed a large drop of water shaped like a hart. Thanks to the iphone I was able to capture it because I didn’t think my wife would believe me.
Messages are sent to us all the time. We just need to be open to them by living in the moment. As I’m finishing this sentence I glanced at the clock and it reads 3:45. Guru6
